100 Days of Haiku
In 2023, I got the urge to write a Haiku.
And it’s strange what happens when empty lines of prose earn a place in your mind’s eye. Because then you start seeing potential poems everywhere.
In the sky. On the sidewalk. At the Subaru dealer.
And so I began writing them. Every day.
And I wrote about birds and love and letting go. Wildflowers, waking up, twin flames, piano music, 38 Special, and plenty more.
Then I turned it into a book. Like a serious coffee table book with a hard spine and a photo or illustration for every single poem.
I publish them sometimes on my Substack, Permission Slips for Life.
But they are best received page by page.
